Taylor Swift fans are convinced the songstress is coming out with new music very, very soon!
While they’re not wrong — we’ll get to that further down — Swifties not only believe she’s working on a Christmas album, but that it’ll be released in just a few short weeks!
So, where did this conspiracy theory begin?? Well, Taylor can thank herself!

On Tuesday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram with a selfie after returning from a trip to Japan, writing along with it:
“According to my jet lag it is one hundred o clock celsius.”
What seemed like a joke in her caption actually had one fan deciphering an album release date! The Twitter user wrote:
“Taylor ‘one hundred o’clock celcius’
100 celcius is 212 Fahrenheit
2/12 = 2nd December@taylorswift13 @taylornation13 F**KING CHRISTMAS ALBUM?! Confirm.”
Many others jumped on the December 2 bandwagon, looking at her Lover album for any and all Easter eggs alluding to a Christmas album!

Meanwhile, one user urged Taylor to drop holiday music, writing:
“taylor swift you better release a Christmas album so we kick depression and anxiety’s asses thank you”
But the imagery of a country Christmas EP from Taylor really had us going:

Even if T. Swift has no plans currently, she should really consider the idea, as one follower tweeted:
“I feel like Taylor’s gonna log in and see us losing our minds over a rumor and be like ‘well s**t, guess I better go record a Christmas song real quick'”

But as we previously mentioned at the very beginning, fans did get what they begged for when they asked for new music, this time, in the form of a Lover duet with Shawn Mendes!

The singers dropped the collab on Wednesday morning, with the country-turned-pop star announcing it on her IG:

Shawn, who comes in on the second verse, jumps in with his own lyrics, singing:

He later adds:
