The anticipation for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding is growing by the day!
While the couple’s friends and family seem to have embraced the romance from the very beginning, Tay Tay’s dad is doing whatever it takes to keep his baby girl protected as she prepares to get married. Sources spilled the tea to Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Saturday, revealing Scott is quietly helping set up an ironclad prenup — and both Taylor and Travis are fully supportive of it! One insider shared:
“Scott is the definition of a great father. He’s spent his entire adult life protecting Taylor while giving her the freedom to become the biggest star in the world. He’s always there, but never in the spotlight.”

Friends are said to describe Scott as the ultimate businessman — though he’s got a big heart. Another source expressed:
“He’s a fist in a velvet glove. Polite, charming, and incredibly warm — but when it comes to protecting his daughter and her business interests, nobody is sharper.”
He’s not wrong to be looking out for the singer! Even if Travis is her one true love, she’s got a MASSIVE fortune to protect — reportedly worth an estimated $1.6 billion, per the outlet, while the NFL star is estimated at around $120 million. (Variety reports Taylor is now the richest female musician in history with a net worth of $2 billion!) A confidant explained:
“When you’re dealing with nearly $2 billion in combined assets, a prenup isn’t a sign of mistrust. It’s smart business.”
And, thankfully, the Kansas City Chiefs star totally understands the need for a legal contract:
“Travis respects Scott tremendously. He understands that Scott helped build one of the most successful entertainment brands in history. There was never any drama and never any pushback.”
Love that this hasn’t caused drama! It shows he’s in the relationship for the right reasons!
On why it’s so key to have Scott a part of this legal work, the insider added:
“Taylor has romance in her heart and Scott has business in his head. The prenup isn’t about preparing for failure — it’s about protecting everything they’ve built.”
The last thing anyone wants is for Taylor to put her lifetime of work at risk. These days, prenups are SO common. It’d be way more shocking if they weren’t signing one!
