Did Taylor Swift just drop her biggest Easter egg of all time!?
Fans certainly seem to think so after noticing a tiny yet major update in the lyrics of her Love Story re-recording, which was recently featured in Ryan Reynolds’ highlarious Match.com ad.
After a snippet of the re-imagining of the 31-year-old’s 2008 smash hit was made public, several Swifties noticed that one of the lyrics changed from “Baby, just say, ‘Yes’” to “Baby, just said, ‘Yes.’” — which naturally caused fans to come to one conclusion and one conclusion only: Taylor and her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn are engaged!

Fans cried:
“Did anyone just notice that in the 2020 Love Story that Taylor said “Baby just SAID yes,” not “say?” What if Taylor and Joe are secretly engaged?”
“Wait why aren’t we talking about the fact that Taylor said ‘it’s a love story baby just SAID yes.’ I just saw a tiktok and I didn’t even notice until the girl pointed it out.”
“OMG [the] original lyrics are baby just say yes, is our queen trying to tell us something?”
“the taylor swift married/is at least engaged to joe alwyn conspiracy theory is my favorite one and i will die on that bridge”
“When Taylor reveals she’s engaged in the new Love Story MV where Joe kneels to the ground and says marry me juliet”
LOLz, sounds like they’ve already made their minds up!

As stans know, the pair have been dating since 2017, and while they’ve kept their relationship largely private — especially when compared to T.Swift’s previous high-profile romances — their love story sounds like it’s heading toward a happy ending.
Back in March of this year, a source told Us Weekly that the Blank Space songstress and The Favourite actor “definitely” want to get married down the line. The insider told the outlet:
“[They] have talked about their future and marriage. They don’t have a set deadline in place, but they’re very much in love.”
Hmmm… has the craziness of 2020 changed their deadline? We won’t know until Tay wants us to, but the breadcrumbs she’s leaving for us certainly point to “yes”!
What do U think, Perezcious readers? Is Taylor trying to tell us something with this updated lyric, or are fans freaking out over nothing? Share your thoughts in the comments (below)!
