Taylor Swift Is Not Impressed With Her Face On An Unauthorized T-Shirt!

Taylor Swift finds herself in yet another t-shirt-related brouhaha
When will peeps learn that they can’t just put Taylor Swift‘s name or likeness on a piece of clothing and expect everything to be all fine and dandy?
If you’re a true Swiftie, then you most likely know that Taylor bought a house in Watch Hill, Rhode Island a few months ago, but some locals were not super duper excited about the popstar sharing their zip code.
Meanwhile, others took it as an excellent opportunity to design and manufacture some welcome t-shirts in her honor!
Graphic designer Kevin Adams created the “OMG Watch Hill” tee (above) in good fun, but it’s already coming back to bite him in the tookus!
Adams explained:

“We refer to it as the OMG Watch Hill tee shirt. I├óΓé¼Γäóm trying to avoid saying ├óΓé¼╦£that name.├óΓé¼Γäó It├óΓé¼Γäós pretty big news with Taylor coming here, so we wanted to make a fun tee shirt. We purposely made one that didn├óΓé¼Γäót say her name on it. Then we put it on our Facebook page, and people liked it, so we started selling it. Very promptly, we got a call from this guy from Nashville who told me to stop making them. He called me last Tuesday or Wednesday. He started throwing his weight around and trying to intimidate me. I├óΓé¼Γäóm sure this guy was just doing his job, but I don├óΓé¼Γäót believe I├óΓé¼Γäóm doing anything wrong with this shirt.”

Adams is aware of the whole Abercrombie & Fitch kerfuffle, but claims his shirt is different, saying:

“That tee was derogatory. Mine is completely harmless.”

He added:

“And you know what, I├óΓé¼Γäóll bet you that Taylor could care less. It├óΓé¼Γäós just her people doing their jobs. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós totally cool [that she came to town]. Some of the people in Watch Hill may not be keen on it, but I├óΓé¼Γäóm happy to have her here. I just wish she├óΓé¼Γäód leave me alone.”

That would be nice, but in the US you can’t just profit off a major star’s likeness without giving them their cut, so we don’t think Adams has heard the last of that “guy from Nashville.”
For Kevin’s sake, we hope this whole thing gets settled swiftly. Ha!
