Terry Crews Will Not Be Intimidated By 'Violent' Hollywood To Stop Speaking Out About His Assault

Terry Crews
Keep fighting the good fight, Terry Crews.
As you know, although the actor’s sexual assault charges against Adam Venit have been “declined” by the court, the 49-year-old is still suing the agent and WME — and he has no plans to back down!
Despite being advised to give it a rest, the White Chicks star is willing to risk it all in order to cause real change in Hollywood.

In a new interview with Buzzfeed News, the celeb opened up about the backlash he’s received from people in the industry:

“I walk in the room, and the room is split right down the middle. It just divides right there. It’s kind of like lightning.”

Of the moment he decided to share his story about the gross encounter with Venit via Twitter, Crews shared:

“I was on the set [of ├óΓé¼╦£Brooklyn Nine-Nine’], shaking. I didn’t call my publicist, I didn’t call my friends, I didn’t call my manager, I didn’t call my wife. I just started tweeting.”

And now his whole world is different. While he’s getting a lot of praise for his bravery, Terry has also had jobs threatened:

“People don’t understand that Hollywood is a very violent place. The best way to put it is that it’s like a plantation. You use extreme violence. You see a lot of people who never work again. For even speaking up the whole thing is that they cut your head off so that the next person doesn’t speak.”

He added:

“What I’ve been doing is just exposing. If this is the end of my career, just end it now. Cause I’m gonna keep living, I’m gonna keep doing my thing. But if I don’t do another ├óΓé¼╦£Expendables,’ then let’s not do another one. I’m OK with that.”

Ultimately, there is power in truth:

“They don’t want to see me comment, but I’m not going anywhere. They lead this thing through shame. [They] shame you so you feel like you gotta hide in the house. ├óΓé¼┬ª[But] once you get rid of shame, you get to step off the slave plantation. And I get to be free. This is a good thing.”

Keep on keepin’ on!!
