One extra warning — this is among the most horrible stories we’ve ever read. NOT for the faint of heart.
A father in Texas has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after he was convicted at trial late last week for sexually molesting and killing his infant daughter back in 2020.
Luis Luna (pictured above, left, in his mugshot) was officially convicted on Friday in Houston, Texas on capital murder charges. The 27-year-old man had shockingly been accused of raping and killing his 8-month-old daughter Savayah Mason (pictured above, right, via a police press release) on August 24, 2020 in the south Texas city.
What. The. F**k…
According to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, sheriff’s deputies were called to Luna’s apartment on a report the infant had stopped breathing. Once there, medical personnel began to work on the infant. However, she was unresponsive, so they rushed her to the hospital. Sadly she was pronounced dead.

Immediately, the coroner’s office performed an autopsy on the baby… and found the unthinkable. They determined the infant had died of suffocation — but also confirmed the presence of ligature strangulation marks around the baby’s neck. And there were other marks indicating the child had been bound before her death. And as if all that wasn’t awful enough, the coroner also confirmed the baby had been sexually assaulted prior to death. Absolutely disgusting. There are just… no words.
Cops quickly arrested Luna for the crime, and he’s been behind bars since — and will stay there for quite some time. And now, with the conclusion of his trial late last week and the conviction officially being handed down, a judge has ordered him to remain in prison for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole.
Assistant Harris County District Attorney Edward A. Appelbaum, who led the prosecution’s pursuit for justice during the 10-day trial, told local media members that Luna’s crime was “one of the most horrific acts of violence imaginable,” and “the worst kind of evil in the world.” District Attorney Kim Ogg, who oversaw prosecution, added:
“This baby couldn’t walk or talk, and she should have been with someone who kept her safe, but instead he abused that trust.”
Sadly, that’s the understatement of the year. Our hearts go out to the child’s mother and other family members. We seriously don’t even know what else to say at this point.
