No longer are the The Beatles making teenage girls cry, so video game companies are the newest ones to shed a tear!
Because even the Fab Five can’t boost lowly video game sales!
The Beatles: Rock Band only sold 595,000 copies last month! Not too shabby, but the game was expected to sell over a million units.
“The Beatles performed at a respectable level,” says analyst Jesse Divnich of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research. “I have no doubts we will see a resurgence in sales during the holiday months.”
At least that’s what they hope for!
The title did beat out the competing Guitar Hero 5, but it’s no Halo 3, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies.
