The Hunger Games-esque show has joined the CW line up!
The network that lurves jumping on the band wagon — or hitching theirs to someone else’s — is debuting The Selection this fall, based off a book by Kiera Cass, that ripped off is like the The Hunger Games.
This new show/book is about a girl from a futuristic, war-torn nation who is chosen by lottery to compete for fame and fortune against a backdrop of hunger and carnage. Sounds just kinda sorta familiar?? LOL!
The Selection‘s only main difference from The Hunger Games is the prize: they don’t kill each other and they’re fighting to marry the prince.
Friday Night Light‘s star Aimee Teegarden played the leading lady in the pilot, but she could be recast.
We’re not quite sure what to think about this show….
But anything HG related will probs be ratings gold!
