We volunteer! We volunteer as tributes…to ride any test attractions related to The Hunger Games! SRSLY we’ll sign any waiver.
According to the CEO of Lionsgate, Jon Feltheimer, the studio has been ├óΓé¼┼ôapproached in two territories about potential theme park opportunities├óΓé¼┬¥ for the Hunger Games franchise, and that the studio is “pursuing them.├óΓé¼┬¥
While the Lionsgate has no additional info at this time, this got us thinking of potential attractions that would be perfect for any Hunger Games related theme park addition:
1. Haymitch’s Wild Ride!
Haymitch offers to give you a ride to Victors’ Village, but be careful…he’s been drinking. Oh, who are we kidding? Haymitch is always drinking!
2. Soarin’ Over Panem!
Take a hang glider ride over all 13 Dictricts (for Capitol citizens only)! You will weep from all the majesty, but mostly the oppression! Yeah, the oppression will probably make you cry the most!
3. District 12 Mine Ride!
Join Katniss’ dad trip down into the mines of District 12! But be careful…mine explosions can be deadly. No, seriously, you probably won’t make it out alive. Bring a canary.
4. Character Meet and Greet!
Meet all your favorite Muttations of past tributes, take pictures with them, and then run for your life because they’re genetically enhanced killing machines! What were you thinking taking a picture with them?
5. Peeta’s Pan!
In this interactive show, audience members sit starving in the rain, while Peeta bakes some bread and throws it at them!
6. Pirates of the Cornucopia!
Avast ye! Set sail through the Hunger Games’ weapon filled Cornucopia but watch out for Pirates, otherwise known as the Careers!
7. The Fireworks Spectacular!
At the end of the day enjoy the fireworks show! Just FYI, every time a tribute dies, a firework goes off, so yeah, there’s a lot of fireworks in this show!
Our AHmazing ideas aside, we’re so excited for this potentially to become a reality! It’s your move, Disney…or Universal. Or Six Flags.
