Geez! What is so scandalous about this mini-series that no one wants to touch it?
You’ll recall that the History Channel was all set to air the mini-series The Kennedys, starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear, until the actual Kennedy family put enough pressure on them to let the project drop. Since then, the project has been desperately trying to find a US distributor, with no luck at all.
Sources report that both the Starz and FX networks passed on it just as The History Channel did, fearing the same opposition from one of America’s most powerful families.
But we have a feeling someone is going scoop this up faster than they think. The longer it takes to find a buyer, the more buzz and interest the series will get. By the time it finally does find a distributor, there’ll be so much hype that the ratings will be sky high.
