Barbara Walters scored another big interview!
Babs’ chat with President-elect Barack Obama and First Lady-to-be Michelle Obama is scheduled to air at 10pm, Wednesday on ABC.
The interview covered a wide range of topics. From economic policy to chores the young Obama girls will be expected to perform while living in the White House, Babs left almost no stone unturned!
Something we found interesting is the President-elect’s concern about living an isolated life as president. He doesn’t want his access to information outside the bubble of the White House to be limited:
“One of the things that I’m going to have to work through is how to break through the isolation — the bubble that exists around the president. I’m in the process of negotiating with the Secret Service, with lawyers, with White House staff … to figure out how can I get information from outside of the 10 or 12 people who surround my office in the White House.”
We know this to be true with a lot of families we know…and it’s also the case with the Obamas…Momma rules the roost!
In a post-interview recap, Babs reported that both Barack and Michelle Obama agreed that it is Michelle who “gets the last word,” with the president-elect philosophizing, “When Momma’s happy, everybody is happy.”
