We are soooo happy for these gorgeous girlies!
Britain’s newest and brightest all-girl group, The Saturdays, just inked a sweet new deal to release albums in the States!
We witnessed their talent and dedication first hand — these beautiful ladies really deserve this!!
Not long after their epic post-VMA performance at our wild One Night in LA event, this generation’s Spice Girls met with Island Def Jam and decided to make music for ‘Merika!
The Saturday’s short-haired beauty Frankie Sanford explains:

“We were so afraid. We didn’t want to leave England. Nowadays, luckily, [English] people are a lot more open to their favorite acts going to America. It used to be a little bit like, ‘They’re leaving us! They’re going to the U.S. and they’re never coming back!'”

Don’t be nervous!! We’re thrilled to have you!
The weather in El Lay is lovely and our food is by all accounts superior! What could go wrong? LOLz!!
Una Healy, the band’s ginger-topped Irish lovely, completely agrees. She said:

“We feel like the time is now for pop music coming from the U.K. and Ireland. But there’s never been a girl band coming from there since The Spice Girls. It’s time for us. We’ve been together a long time now, five years… We really feel ready now.”

And we’re ready to welcome you with open arms!!
The group is presently trying to decide which single to release stateside in January 2013.
We hope it’s the upcoming UK hit What About Us they debuted at One Night in LA!
