The Simpsons Are Holding The Longest Television Marathon EVER!

Wanna be a part of The Simpsons super fandom history?
If you’ve got a couple hundred hours to spare, head down to the intersection of Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 8. Be prepared to stay there until February 19 as people attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous television viewing.
In honor of the animated series’ 500th episode in the midst of it’s 23rd season, organizers are holding the “Ultimate Fan Marathon Challenge” where viewers will watch all 500 episodes in a row to beat the current record of 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds (that’s it?).
Beyond being able to say you’ve wasted A LOT of time doing something that a lot of people will consider pretty weird, this MIGHT actually be worth your time!
It’s not called a “challenge” for nothing and the contest winner will take home $10,500, plus “an array of The Simpsons merchandise, including products exclusively designed to commemorate the 500th episode.”
