Scientist Finds A Spider The Size Of A PUPPY In Guyana! Refill Your Nightmares RIGHT HERE!

There are some things you just can’t un-see, like this spider the size of a PUPPY!
Piotr Nasrecki, a scientist, was on a trip in the Guyana rainforest when he came across the eight-legged monster, officially referred to as the South American Goliath Birdeater.
Yep, that’s the spider’s official name… BIRD EATER. Because it does.

Piotr described the terrifying meeting in his blog:

“A few years ago I was deep in the rainforest of Guyana doing just that ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ listening to the sounds of the night in a complete darkness ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ when I heard the rustle of an animal running. I could clearly hear its hard feet hitting the ground and dry leaves crumbling under its weight. I pressed the switch and pointed the light at the source of the sound, expecting to see a small mammal, a possum, a rat maybe. And at first this is what I thought I saw ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ a big, hairy animal, the size of a rodent. But something wasn’t right, and for a split second the atavistic part of my brain sent a ping of regret that I didn’t bring any companion with me on this particular night walk. But before that second was over I was lunging at the animal, ecstatic about finally seeing one of these wonderful, almost mythical creatures in person.”

Umm, mythical is an interesting way to describe a spider strong enough to PUNCTURE A MOUSE’S SKULL!
According to Piotr, the species of spider is the largest in the world and it boasts 2-inch FANGS!
Well, one thing is for sure–we won’t be making any trips to the Guyana rainforest anytime soon!
