It’s sounding mighty strained!
We’ve been SUPER excited for The Strokes‘ fifth album since hearing about it back in June, so we hate to say that its first single One Way Trigger is kind of meh.

And while we are super digging the fact that One Way Trigger stays true to the band’s fast-pased instrumental sound, we can’t get over how odd Julian’s vocals sound!
We know he loves falsetto, but this is, well…haha, just listen for yourself (above)!
Thank goodness he’s only doing it for half the track!
