We’ve been hearing reports for months now about drama behind the scenes of The View.
And not just off camera either! It seems every political discussion lately has devolved into a divisive personal feud between — no, not the Democrats and Republicans — between everyone else and Meghan McCain.
Yes, the conservative pundit is also reportedly the source of the trouble backstage.

Earlier this month there were reports Meghan might even leave the show over her conflicts with Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, who some apparently believe is playing nice up front but leaking stories behind Meghan’s back.
So what’s the latest drama unfolding under the table?
Sources are claiming tensions have reached such a fever pitch, the ladies have actually canceled their daily Hot Topics meetings!
An insider from ABC spilled to DailyMail.com:
“There’s no joint Hot Topics meeting anymore because of Meghan. Each lady is briefed by an individual producer in their dressing room.
For almost 20 seasons, the co-hosts did their Hot Topics meeting collectively in the hair and makeup room and were groomed by the glam team while discussing the issues of the day.
But because at one point Meghan accused people from the hair and makeup team of leaking stories, they were no longer allowed to come to the meetings and each lady had to get prepared following the briefing.”
Wait, we thought Meghan thought it was Sunny who was leaking stories?
Another source explained:
“Here’s the truth, any time Meghan is mad at someone at The View she accuses them of being the leak. There have been at least five people that she’s accused of leaking stories since she joined the show.
But that’s indicative of how self-important she is, because anyone who has followed The View for the 22 seasons its been on air know leaks have been happening since the early years with the original cast of co-hosts.”
Obsessed with leaks and lashing out at everyone?
Once again, Meghan says she hates Trump but sounds so much like him. (Like on Thursday’s episode when she once again said the Mueller Report found “NO COLLUSION” which is either a gross misunderstanding or a purposeful misrepresentation of what was actually in it.) Hmm.

And it’s supposedly Meghan’s divisiveness which has caused morale to plummet.
Per the outlet, another network source assessed:
“It’s never been this bad. I’ve been around a long time, but the morale at the show is worse than ever — even worse than when Rosie O’Donnell was here!”
Wow! That is a serious statement!
Rosie O’Donnell was there at the height of the show’s controversy, in which conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck infamously walked off the show during a taping (she was ultimately talked into not quitting).
Meghan recently made news when she revealed her miscarriage in a New York Times op-ed. You’d think this would be an opportunity for her cohosts to comfort her and become closer. That… didn’t happen.
A source tells the outlet no one at the show knew anything about it until the piece got published:
“She didn’t tell anyone she was pregnant. She actually had been telling people she wasn’t sure she wanted kids, and ended up pregnant.”
Adding…
“None of the co-hosts are close to her, so she wouldn’t have told them.”
Not close is perhaps a bit of an understatement. The source says Joy, Sunny, and non-martyr complex conservative Ana Navarro “strongly dislike her” and her favorite cohost Whoopi Goldberg merely “tolerates her.”
Damn.
We know it’s bad with Joy, that much is obvious. But according to these new sources, Sunny didn’t take kindly to being accused of being the leak. They say she believes the whole article was a smear campaign courtesy of Meghan herself! Whoa!
Supposedly it’s even worse with Ana, the Republican with whom the liberals on the panel have been able to find common ground, and even friendship.
Sources said:
“Ana and Meghan don’t even pretend to be friendly off camera. After Ana embarrassed Meghan on live TV last summer for her questioning why Ana even still considers herself a Republican, the two have been mortal enemies ever since.
Ana invited all of the co-hosts but Meghan to her wedding earlier this year, and it’s no secret the reason ABC News hired Abby Huntsman over Ana after Sara Haines left is because Meghan threatened to leave if she had to work with Ana every day.”
Oof!
Oh, and that stuff about Whoopi tolerating Meghan? Well, even that reportedly got threatened recently.
Remember the story about Meghan demanding a makeup artist be fired over LIKING A SOCIAL MEDIA POST criticizing her?
Well, that apparently didn’t go over well with Whoopi at all. See, she’s friends with that makeup artist, a woman named Karen Dupiche. The senior host reportedly threatened to “raise holy hell” if Karen, who has been on the show over 15 years, wasn’t left alone. The insider explained:
“Karen is the one who took Whoopi to the hospital when she had double pneumonia and became septic. When Whoopi surprised the co-hosts and came back to the show unexpected earlier this year, she brought Karen to the table and credited her for helping save her life.
So Meghan targeting Karen over a social media post set Whoopi off and she lashed out at the executives in a way that sent shockwaves through the network.”
Wow. Sounds like Meghan won’t be looking to Whoopi for protection anymore, hmm?
However, another source is strongly refuting basically all talk of bad blood behind the scenes; they say the Hot Topic briefing was dropped over logistical issues:
“It’s not true. Whoopi was sick and in and out. Meghan was out for a few days, which she revealed why. People were coming in later and too much was happening to have group Hot Topic meetings.”
And an ABC spokesperson released the same old statement:
“These are nothing more than old rumors and unfounded speculation. All of our co-hosts take great pride in their jobs. They are talented, smart women who have passionate conversations and can agree to disagree. The View and the co-hosts have had an incredible year with great accomplishments finishing the season on a high note with more presidential candidates scheduled to appear next week.”
Well, OK then.
We have two very different sides here… but which is telling the truth?
