Love Em Or Over Em? Is The Walking Dead DEAD?!

The Walking Dead may still be trudging forward. But is it slowly rotting from a zombie bite??
AMC‘s flagship show took a big ratings hit on Sunday; according to Nielsen’s ratings the live viewership of season 8’s finale was down a whopping 30% from last season! Ouch!
Sunday’s episode scored 7.9 million live viewers, which is still quite a big number for a basic cable show. But when you consider season 7’s finale had 11.3 million, it can’t be good.

And that was down from Season 6’s 14.2 mil, which was in turn down from season 5’s series high of 15.8 million live viewers — TWICE what Sunday’s episode got. In fact, Wrath is the lowest rated finale since SEASON 1!
Is the writing on the wall, and does it say “Don’t Dead Open Inside”?
