Mark your calendars. We’ve hit a high watermark of chaos.
A senior administration official has written an op-ed for The New York Times explaining how he or she, along with others, is attempting to save the country from Donald Trump.
This is no longer a conspiracy theory. WTF.

The official, whose identity the Times says they will not disclose for fear of the person losing their job, says “many of the senior officials in [Trump’s] own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”
This person goes on to make clear they are a true blue conservative (true red?) and not some secret liberal deep state.
They are ON Team Trump. And even they recognize he is a danger to the United States of America:
“To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.
But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.
That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office.”
They’ve “vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions” but they’re not going to actually get him thrown out with what they know? By getting proof??
What, so they can keep billionaire tax cuts coming? Cut corporate safety regulations? Get more federal judges?
AT THE RISK OF THE COUNTRY.
The official goes on to say those “successes” (if you want to call them that) “have come despite — not because of — the president’s leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective.”
They pretty much confirm the chaos reported in Bob Woodward‘s new book — likely what spurred them to come forward.
“Meetings with him veer off topic and off the rails, he engages in repetitive rants, and his impulsiveness results in half-baked, ill-informed and occasionally reckless decisions that have to be walked back.”
The senior official also says the POTUS is just as anti-American as he seems:
“…Trump’s impulses are generally anti-trade and anti-democratic.”
“…Trump shows a preference for autocrats and dictators, such as President Vladimir Putin of Russia and North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and displays little genuine appreciation for the ties that bind us to allied, like-minded nations.”
“He complained for weeks about senior staff members letting him get boxed into further confrontation with Russia, and he expressed frustration that the United States continued to impose sanctions on the country…”
But the most shocking revelation? THEY CONSIDERED TRYING TO REMOVE HIM FROM OFFICE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY!
“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over.”
They actually try to paint this as good news for America, saying “Americans should know that there are adults in the room.”
That isn’t good enough! The President needs to be one of the adults!
Whoever this person is, they could be fired on a whim tomorrow!
This may not be a personal low for President Trump, but it’s a low point for the office of the presidency.
Now that we’ve had time to absorb all of that. Which senior official do you think this is??
