In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, the 26-year-old revealed the real reason behind his shocking haircut.
As you probably saw, the Starboy recently traded in his signature multi-directional dreadlocks for a much shorter ‘do — and it sounds like his life is forever changed.

On life with short less hair, Bella Hadid‘s beau admitted:
“I could only sleep on one side of my face. Now, the sleep is amazing. The shower is amazing, because I don’t have to spend two hours cleaning it. I didn’t know how much I wanted it until I did it.”
Abel added that people telling him not to cut his hair made him want to do it even more:
“It was a long time coming. It didn’t feel right anymore├óΓé¼┬ªI told everybody I was getting rid of it, and everybody ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ literally, unanimously ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ they were like, ├óΓé¼╦£No, don’t do it! That’s your whole thing, that’s you.’ And the way they said that, I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, I’m definitely cutting it now.'”
Ha! Fair!
