The Who's Founding Members To Launch Teen Cancer Center At UCLA

Roger Daltrey and Peter Townshend of The Who are launching a program that will help teens and young adults suffering from cancer.
The Daltry/Townshend Teen and Young Adult Cancer Program has already helped to fund 19 special teen cancer units in the UK, and now, they’re starting the program at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, on their pediatric floor.
This special hospital unit will be aimed to not just kids, but strictly for teens and young adults between the ages of 15-25. The program will help build a common lounge that will allow them to socialize and provide emotional support for each other.
The units will be designed to help teens live a normal life while coping through cancer treatments during their long hospital stays.
Led Zeppelin‘s Robert Plant has also contributed. The rockers will sign a guitar that will be hung on the wall at the UCLA unit.

It’s so cool that these guys are so committed to such an important cause. Having a place that is designed just for teens with cancer seems like such a wonderful idea. Good luck with the program, gentlemen, and great job.
