Is A Thinning Ozone Layer Causing Whales To Change Color?

The answer is yes…kind of!

A team of European scientists who have been studying a group of whales off the coast of Mexco, found that they have been enduring terrible sunburns.

The skin samples that the scientists collected over the past three years revealed that there was damage from ultraviolat radiation.

This link to the ozone layer, is that the earth’s stratosphere protects from UV rays, and since the ozone layer is thinning, it is causing harm to whales and other animals as well.

This is a problem, Whales can’t simply go to the store and get some sunblock like us.
