This is so crazy and so awful we can’t believe it ever happened.
A three-year-old girl, Victoria Wilcher, was mauled by three pit bulls a few months back and, after sustaining pretty serious injuries to her face, needs regular medical treatment.
Well this injured little girl can add some emotional scars on top of her physical ones now, thanks to KFC.
Her grandmother, Kelly Mullins, took her to KFC after visiting the doctor’s.
While at the KFC, something absolutely awful happened! Ms. Mullins said:
“I ordered a large sweet tea and her some mashed potatoes and gravy because she was hungry.
She was on a feeding tube at the time, but I figured she could just swallow (the potatoes). They just told us, they said, ‘We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers.’ [Victoria] understood exactly what they said.”
OMG! That’s so terrible!
Who the hell would do such a thing, especially to a child?!
Mullins continued
“She’s got a lot of surgeries to go through and she won’t even look in the mirror anymore. When we go to a store, she doesn’t even want to get out (of the car). She’s 3 years old and she’s embarrassed about what she looks like. She’s embarrassed and I hate it because she shouldn’t be. It ain’t her fault.”
That’s so insanely awful we don’t know how this could even happen.
The family took to Facebook and detailed their struggle on a page set up to help with Victoria’s medical expenses.
KFC responded to the family, saying:
“As soon as we were notified of this report Friday, we immediately began an investigation, as this kind of hurtful and disrespectful action would not be tolerated by KFC. Regardless of the outcome of our investigation, we have apologized to Victoria’s family and are committed to assisting them.”
They have more to offer than sweet words and tasty gravy, though.
The company is going to donate $30,000 to help with Victoria’s medical expenses!
That’s so great! It’s so awful she had to go through this just to get some medical bill help but at least she’ll be able to get some quality medical care.
