Tia Mowry Is REGIFTING Her Wedding Ring After Divorce!

Tia Mowry is letting go of her wedding ring two years after her divorce… But don’t worry, it’s going to a GREAT place!

In the latest episode of her hit new reality show Tia Mowry: My Next Act, the 46-year-old visits a jewelry shop and reveals she wants to “repurpose” her wedding ring. Huh?? Yes, after recently finalizing her divorce from Cory Hardrict, Tia will not be keeping the ring he gave her. However, instead of just tossing it in the back of her jewelry box or pawning it, she came up with a novel idea. She decided to transform it into something special for the kids they share! She explains in the clip:

“I haven’t worn it for almost two years now, and it just doesn’t feel right to sell it. But what I am wanting to do is change my wedding band into something for my kids. Pass it down, you know, to my kids, because they have been my biggest gift.”

That’s certainly an inneresting third option she found! Isn’t destroying it kinda worse than selling it? In a way?

Tia acknowledges the idea of the ring ceasing to exist makes her super “sad” because it was  “a symbol of a marriage and it is no longer.” But ultimately she feels she’s doing the right thing! The way she sees it, she isn’t getting rid of it like she would be if someone bought it. She’s passing it down.

Tia ultimately had a necklace made for her son Cree, 13, and a bracelet for her daughter Cairo, 6. She adds in the episode:

“I just think it’s so beautiful to transform something that was given out of love and to give it to your children. It just makes me feel like my marriage wasn’t a waste. I did the right thing.”

Tia also notes that she didn’t ask Cory for his thoughts, but feels he’ll be okay with it. Watch a clip of her visit with the jeweler (below):

What do YOU think, Perezcious readers?? Is this a fantastic way to honor the good that came out of a marriage that didn’t work? Or is it just ultimately still destroying the ring that was the symbol of your love? Let us know if you’d ever consider doing this in the comments down below!
