TikTok Star Known For Viral 'I Married Myself' Video Dead At 29

TikTok has lost one of its most beloved stars.

In case you aren’t familiar with Kübra Aykut, she was the Turkish girl who went viral last December for her “wedding without a groom” video. She titled the clip “I married myself!” and danced throughout the video in a wedding dress with her family alongside her. You can see it yourself (below):

Sadly, the 29-year-old was confirmed to have died in a horrible accident last week at an apartment complex in Istanbul. According to local outlet Türkiye Today, she fell five stories down. Law enforcement continue to investigate, with some reports stating she left a note behind — leading many to believe her death was by suicide. Nothing has been confirmed by police, however.

Kübra was a very popular influencer all over the world, boasting nearly 227k followers on Instagram, 24.6k subscribers on YouTube, and millions upon millions of views on her TikTok videos.

The influencer’s management agency, Wixir Creative, posted a heartfelt tribute to the star, which read (translated into English):

“Our pride, our life, our blood, our joy is a part of our family. We will never forget you, we will always wait for you to enter through that door suddenly.”
