Michael Armstrong and his wife Emma are mourning the loss of their first child.
Just three weeks before his wife was due to give birth, TikTok star Michael revealed the tragic passing of their little one. On Instagram Sunday he posted a photo holding the baby’s hand, writing in the caption:
“It’s been hard to find words for this, but it’s with a heavy heart to share that our sweet baby has passed at 37 weeks. 3 weeks ago, my wife woke up and noticed there wasn’t movement in her belly. She intuitively felt something was off. A couple hours later we got an ultrasound and the doctors found no heartbeat. We were shattered. Our due date was in a little over 3 weeks.”
Announcing this on Father’s Day… So, so heartbreaking.
He revealed Emma went through labor and their child was stillborn:
“After an incredibly difficult 37 hour labor, Emma gave birth. We had chosen to wait till birth to find out the gender, so it was a sweet surprise amongst the grief to meet our precious, beautiful little baby boy. There was no sign of what went wrong. His ultrasound, body and placenta all looked good. As we’ve learned, sometimes this just happens, and 1/3 of the time no cause is ever discovered.”
Just devastating… Both parents had been so excited for the baby’s arrival, too. They’d been posting about it on social media for months.
Michael is a past life regression expert, and that’s what most of his social media content pertains to. He’s very in-tune with his spirituality, which he explained has given him a little comfort — but he’s still understandably broken:
“I’ve been balancing the divine purpose of it all and the truth of deep grief. I know our souls wouldn’t have chosen this experience if there wasn’t a greater purpose, but the devastation is real.”
Luckily he and his wife have great friends who have been taking care of them and cooking for them.

He revealed their son’s name is Zen Diamond Love and added that Emma is “navigating an unimaginable postpartum journey with such strength”:
“She carried our son with such grace and love, singing to him each night and morning in bed. She brought him into the world with fierce devotion having a natural birth the way she wanted. She’s been traveling through this heartbreak and physical pain with unwavering courage. She feels it all fully. I am inspired by her.”
He wrapped up his post by thanking everyone for their prayers:
“Thank you for holding us in your hearts. Every message, every meal, every prayer, we feel it. It matters (even if we don’t get to respond right away). We’re taking it day by day, moment by moment, and letting love lead us through.”

The grieving mother also made her own post, sharing a photo of their little one wrapped in a blanket. She wrote:
“With a heavy grieving heart I want to share… A couple weeks ago when I woke up and went to greet our precious baby as I always did and didn’t feel any kicks. I immediately felt something was really off. It was shortly after that we got the most heartbreaking news of our lives that our beloved baby had passed away in my womb without any explanation. After 37 hours of labor I gave birth to the most perfect baby boy. Our son Zen Diamond Love Was born at 10am on May 23 He was 6 lbs. 5 oz. With the most darling nose and lips.”
We can’t imagine what these poor parents are going through. Emma expressed their grief, adding to her caption:
“He is essence of peace and love. He is the rainbow light of our lives. He is an angel guiding us from beyond the veil. There are no words to convey the depth and grief of this loss. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and please know even if we don’t respond that your messages mean so much to our tender hearts.”
Our heart is with Michael and Emma as they grieve this unimaginable loss. May Zen rest in peace.
