A TikTok star is proving just how easy it is to get date rape drugs slipped into your drink.
Influencer Shirah Benarde has gone viral after posting a shocking video demonstrating the dangers of drink spiking. In the TikTok, she goes around and plops faux drugs into her friends’ drinks while socializing, showing just how easy it can happen. Like we said, she didn’t use real drugs, instead opting for candy… But the results are no less shocking to watch! It’s just so damn easy — no one ever notices! She warns in the video:
“The most common person to spike your drink is someone you know… Don’t panic! It’s candy. But did you see that? Two times and no one noticed. It doesn’t matter what you’re drinking … Unfortunately most drink spiking goes unreported.”

She added:
“Don’t let your guard down even at a friend’s house. It can happen to anyone. Doesn’t matter what age/gender … I hope this is the last time you leave your drink and go to the bathroom. This REALLY happens people… Watch your drink being made, cover them and never leave them unattended.”

So scary!
In a subsequent video demonstrating the same thing, she took aim at someone becoming known for allegedly drugging people — Diddy:
“Drink spiking most likely happens by someone you know… Think about what’s going on with Diddy right now. Pregames and private parties are a false sense of security. You don’t expect anything to happen but it does.”
She urged followers to always have eyes on their drinks, and to order an “angel shot” if they’re uncomfortable, as it’s a signal for help.
@shiraah With everything going on with #diddy right now, this is do important to remember. Do not let your guard down even at a private party. #diddyparty #drinkspikingprevention #spiked
And Shirah has another solution…
See, she’s been working on this problem for a long time. She developed the NightCapIt at just 16 years old. It’s a portable cap you can place over your drink which only leaves room for a straw. See (below):
There’s an option for bottles, too:
What a brilliant product! No wonder why, at just 21 years of age, she’s already on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list!
These were some truly eye opening videos! We hope people always remember to stay vigilant while out drinking! Or even in their homes, depending on who’s present! It’s just that easy to be slipped something, and then it’s too late. Stay safe out there, everyone!
