Bad news: Private Practice fans that lurve Pete Wilder’s story line are going to be deeply disappointed!
Original cast member, Tim Daly, announced he will not be returning to the ABC drama for its sixth season.
The Grey’s Anatomy spin-off was facing cancelation earlier this month, but the network recently announced the show will indeed be returning this fall — without Daly.
Tim tweeted the sad news late Tuesday, writing:

“Wonderful fans of PPP. Shonda informed my agent today that Pete wont be returning for season 6. It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder.”

But whyyyyy??
Could they not afford to pay him what he wanted? Did he and Kate Walsh get in a fight?
For now, we don’t know the exact reasons behind Daly getting the boot.
We do know his character will be spending a LOT of time in prison!
