Oh, Timbaland.
Maybe it’s time to log off social media for a couple hours?
The talented music producer is in the middle of a Twitter meltdown, just hours after he got in hot water for posting a transphobic meme on his Facebook page about Caitlyn Jenner.

This time, the 43-year-old has taken to tweeting his own defense to the fallout, and, um, he’s still doing some things wrong.
His tweet stream:
boy some of the media outlets have so many fooled. let me explain this cause i see they are putting up their own headlines to deceive

movie was one of the funniest parts. and somebody decide to take out clay which was said in the movie and put bruce. thats it
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
That’s it? Timbaland tries then to claim that since he didn’t create the transphobic meme, that he’s not responsible for spreading it:
i didnt make the meme that was posted or said publicly what the meme said. Man i find it funny you can take a something reposted and say

“Timbaland said” in the headlines. But nevertheless that is the story but i doubt they will post this. Not interesting enough for them.

We’re posting it now, Timbaland! Your Twitter meltdown is interesting enough for us!
now back to my lovely day. i just had to tell the story the correct way. now what u think after that is what u think.
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
It should’ve ended at this point, with Timbaland going “back to [his] lovely day,” but… nahhh.
Timbaland alludes to Twitter users calling him by his birth name, Timothy, and mocking him for still referring to Caitlyn as Bruce:
yall got me laughing today. his momma named him timothy im going to call him timothy. well i did a song call timothy & on the song credits
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
it say Timothy. hahah
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
but on a serious note
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
i already stated i have nothing against him or anybody who have made that decision. i said that right after he did the interview. publicly
— Timbaland (@Timbaland) June 2, 2015
That’s great to hear, Timbaland. Maybe next time, though, show you’ve got nothing against Caitlyn by referring to her as her, and not “him.”
But it’s obviously not Timbaland’s problem, because “some of the media outlets have so many fooled.” Riiiiiight…
And he’s still going!
RIGHTTTTTT! hahaha https://t.co/iQ3GXY5M9N

Sure, Timbaland. Sharing transphobia isn’t the same as creating it, so you shouldn’t be responsible for your actions. Mmmmmkay.
