It is a rough time for Timothée Chalamet! He lost the award for Best Actor at the Oscars this year and has now won the title of Bad Boyfriend — well, in the eyes of some fans!
In case you missed it, Kylie Jenner attended the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night. She freed the nipple in a stunning nude, curve-hugging gown by Schiaparelli. See the iconic ‘fit HERE. And if you thought her accessory for the night would be Timmy on her arm, you’d be wrong! He didn’t make his Met Gala debut with Ky on the steps! In fact, he was nowhere to be found at fashion’s biggest night! Yeah, we know! A disappointment! And it may even come as a shock to fans, considering they enjoyed a Broadway date the day before in NYC to support Kim Kardashian‘s producing debut for The Fear of 13.

Many thought then the couple would finally grace the carpet together. But no, Timothée ditched the glitz and glam at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and went over to Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers in game one of the Eastern Conference semifinal series instead! Many fans praised Timothée for going to the basketball game, calling the move relatable AF. Others liked the fact he didn’t support a Jeff Bezos-backed event. Still, there are a few people who cannot help but feel the actor should have been by Kylie’s side on Monday night, especially after she spent an entire award season publicly supporting him!
The makeup mogul showed up for the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, the BAFTAS, and the Oscars when he was nominated for his work in Marty Supreme. Heck, she even attended the film’s premiere! And yet for her big night, he decides to go to the Knicks game for the second year in a row instead?! Yeah, his move rubbed some social media users the wrong way! They slammed Timothée, saying
“He never supports Kylie when it’s about her, but she always supports him.”
“I feel like kylie be showing up to events to support him but he never(rarely?) does for her”

Look, maybe Kylie didn’t want Timmy to attend the Met Gala with her! It totally could’ve been her choice to have her moment without him! Timothée also may not have been invited! While he is an A-lister, he did piss off a lot of celebrities with his opera and ballet diss. Perhaps he didn’t score an invite because they didn’t think he’d appreciate this kind of art. Who really knows! But hopefully, Kylie is cool with him showing up to support the Knicks over her! Some fans certainly aren’t!
