Over the weekend, the Cake by the Ocean singer took to TikTok to confide a sad truth in fans: he texted the Call Me by Your Name star and never got a response… Not even a day, a week, a month, or a whole YEAR later! LOLz!

In the video, Joe shares a screenshot from the message he sent to Timmy, which was accompanied by a selfie. It simply reads:
“Miss you”
Joe added the caption:
“Last December I sent Timothee Chalamet a text from my friends phone anticipating a response.”
HA!
In the next slide, the 35-year-old adds another selfie from this year, writing:
“This December he still hasn’t texted back. Hope this helps!”

Laughing through his pain, Joe added:

The question is… Is there a reason Timmy wouldn’t want to give Joe the time of day? Did he miss the whole Jonas Brothers cultural impact and only hear about his bad rep? Like maybe his pal Selena Gomez from A Rainy Day In New York — who happens to be besties with Taylor Swift — told him to avoid the guy like the plague? Or does he just not open strange texts from people he doesn’t know like most of us?? LOLz!
