Tina Fey Says Her Home Life Is Mostly 'Old Movies & Pee'

Tina Fey
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Tina Fey!
The 45-year-old actress is the definition of “doing it all” — and at the Tribeca Film Festival she opened up about life with family, the passing of her father, and collaborating with Amy Poehler.
We all know her work (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Mean Girls, the list goes on and on), but what we don’t get to see very much is her role as a mother to Alice, 10, and Penelope, 4, who she shares with longtime husband Jeff Richmond.

So what’s a normal night at home like for the Fey-Richmond’s? Apparently, a lot of “old movies and pee:”

“We watch a lot of old movies on the weekends. We watch a lot of like Turner Classic movies, which I love. I have a poodle that I never trained right. So, at least once a night, I’m doing a Clorox wipe on the kitchen floor. That’s mostly what our life is, cleaning up urine.”

LOL!
Switching gears, the Sisters star’s father Donald Fey sadly passed away back in October — and while speaking to TV Guide‘s Damian Holbrook (who she’s known since childhood), Tina talked about her greatest lessons from her dad:

“I learned a lot of discipline and work ethic from my dad. My brother and I both did. He just had a high standard for us.”

Miz Fey remembered her father’s passion for painting, and writing poetry and mystery novels:

“He was real amazing guy.”

Well we can definitely see where she gets her creativity!
When it comes to passing on her work ethic to Alice and Penelope, Tina joked that her daughters will become “trustafarians” after seeing how much their parents work:

“‘Oh, my mom is always tired. I’m never going to work.'”

We have a feeling she’s not going to let that happen!
When it comes to her powerhouse relationship with Amy, the Whiskey Tango Fox Trot actress says there’s a reason the two haven’t collaborated together on a series:

“We’re regarded as comedy team, which is totally fine by me. People sometimes used to say, ‘Why don’t you guys do a series together?’ or whatever. And the funny thing is that I think we both know this to be true, it’s because we’re actually both alphas. So, it works in shorts spurts, but I don’t know if it would make a real dynasty.”

That makes total sense! And makes us cherish when we do see them together that much more!
LOVES this lady!
