THE TITANIC: Incredible Never Before Seen Images!!!
Ooooh, National Geographic, how we love you so…
With the 100th anniversary of the sinking next month, we’re ALL getting way too excited about the 3D re-release of Titanic. But we’re also kinda innerested in the real deal too… which is why these photos BLEW our mind!
William Lange took months to construct these blown-up images together using sonar survey maps. But it was worth it. SO worth it. We’re glad they had millions of dollars to do it!!
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration archaeologist James Delgado says of the project:
“This is a game-changer. In the past, trying to understand Titanic was like trying to understand Manhattan at midnight in a rainstorm├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥with a flashlight. Now we have a site that can be understood and measured, with definite things to tell us. In years to come this historic map may give voice to those people who were silenced, seemingly forever, when the cold water closed over them.”
LOL!! We know all about Manhattan at midnight, and he’s right! That is a bitch to figure out, ha!
So thanks, guys!! Thanks for doing all of this super hard work for us. Now excuse us while we revel in the fruit of the labor, LOL!
Oh and U can too! Check all of the images out for URself (below)! Fascinating, no??
