Todd Phillips Takes On John Belushi Biopic

Although he passed away tragically of a drug overdose in 1982, John Belushi is coming back to the big screen
The Hangover producer/director Todd Phillips and The Pursuit of Happyness screenwriter Steven Conrad are developing a biographical film about Belushi’s life.
Phillips has agreed to produce after Warner Bros. acquired the rights from Belushi’s family. John’s widow, Judith Belushi Pisano, who wrote her own book in 2005, Belushi: A Biography, will serve as an executive producer.
It is not known whether prominent figures in his life will be portrayed in the film, such as Dan Aykroyd, Lorne Michaels and Chevy Chase.
