The biggest unanswered question in U.S. politics right now is whether or not Donald Trump‘s lawyer is going to flip on him and give the Southern District of New York damning criminal evidence.
(Yes, our president is basically a mob boss. Sigh.)
Now one source close to Michael Cohen is giving many on the side of justice fresh hope — and yes, that source is Tom Arnold.

The actor has known Trump and Cohen for years and is shockingly close to this investigation. It sounds absurd, but when you have a reality TV star POTUS, you get the sources you get.
Arnold, who is putting together a show on Vice called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, tweeted out a photo of himself with the heavily-under-investigation Cohen on Thursday:

And Cohen retweeted it!
Considering what a vocal opponent of the President Arnold has been, it really got people wondering. So NBC News asked Arnold about it on Friday, and his answer was huge:
“We’ve been on the other side of the table and now we’re on the same side.”
and
“It’s on! I hope [Trump] sees the picture of me and Michael Cohen and it haunts his dreams.”
Wow!
Arnold doubled down on what many believe about Cohen’s importance to the Trump investigation — that he has criminal evidence on audio:
“This dude has all the tapes — this dude has everything.”
Arnold said the two talked all about the TV show, but a Vice producer clarified that Cohen had not done an on-camera interview. Arnold revealed:
“I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, fuck Trump.'”
It sounds more like they were placating Arnold than sealing some kind of pact. But it’s interesting enough Cohen was willing to talk to such a crusader against his boss in the first place!

That’s something Arnold emphasized when he tweeted again on Friday:
Michael Cohen didn’t say Me & him were teaming up to take down Donald Trump! Michael has enough Trump on his plate. I’m the crazy person who said Me & Michael Cohen were teaming up to take down Trump of course. I meant it. Michael doesn’t get paid by Vice #thehuntforthetrumptapes pic.twitter.com/af48aDZRvg

To which Cohen replied:
Thank you Tom for correcting the record.

Tom may be speaking just out of hope, but it really is looking more and more like Cohen is going to flip — especially as Trump distances himself from him in public.
Do YOU think those tapes will ever come out??
