Tom Brady Is Getting DRAGGED For His First NFL Broadcast -- In Which He Burped On Air!

Tom Brady‘s broadcasting debut was… not great! Not according to fans who were watching it unfold on TV, at least!

The 47-year-old former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar spent Sunday on the microphone as the color commentator alongside play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt. The duo were hosting NFL on FOX for the debut weekend of the NFL season in a game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately for Browns fans, Cleveland lost the game 33-17. But according to TV viewers, the real loser here was Gisele Bündchen‘s ex!!

As you may recall, FOX is paying out the ass to have Brady in the booth. They signed him to a jaw-dropping 10-year, $375 million deal to broadcast after his playing career ended. So, a LOT is at stake every Sunday from the network’s perspective! And when he opened up his mouth to offer his very first words on camera, hopes were high:

But then, as the game progressed, the shine quickly wore off, and the burps took over.

…Wait, WHAT?!

Very late in the game, users on X (Twitter) picked up on a strange moment when it sounded like Tom may have burped or belched live on air! Ch-ch-check it out (below) and listen in for yourself:

OMG!!

Dozens of users picked up on the curious noise, with many wondering WTF was going on:

His SUPER healthy strict diet betrays him!! Tom made some other strange noises during the broadcast, too! And they weren’t well received by sports fans, either:

Jeez. Tough crowd!!

In the end, as Dallas wrapped up the easy win, X users couldn’t help but read Tom the riot act for his first work in the booth:

“I’m willing to give him more time since it was just his debut.”

“didn’t bring any value or perspective to the game. Could have been nervous but I’m sure he will get better.”

“he was kinda boring”

“Bland and struggled alot with basic commentary”

“Love bro but I’m not bout to judge him off week 1. Low key feel like he doesn’t wanna be in the booth area”

“why is he taking so many pauses talking”

“He was flat”

“He was awful. Stumbling over his words, and for Pete’s sake, he called it the Red Area?!?! Everyone knows it’s the Red Zone, c’mon”

“In fairness he improved as the game went on but needs to cut out the waffling”

“Talked wayyyyyy too much. Put him in school to learn broadcasting then with his knowledge he will be invaluable.”

TBH, that’s some pretty harsh criticism there!! The dude just wrapped his first game as a broadcaster. Give him at least a few weeks before you write him off!

What do U think, tho, Perezcious readers?! Did U catch any of Sunday’s game? Sound OFF with your takes on Tom’s difficult on-air debut down in the comments (below)!!
