Turns out that 2007 MVP Tom Brady is going to have to sit out the rest of the NFL season.
The reason is due to his recent injury on his left knee, which will require surgery.
Brady will be placed on injured reserve, after injuring himself this weekend during the first quarter of a 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
He was hit by the Chiefs’ safety, Bernard Pollard, and left shortly after for treatment.
His coach, Bill Belichick, said, “We feel badly for Tom about the injury. You hate to see anyone go down. No one has worked harder or done more for this team than Tom has.”
Brady has not been available for comment, but reports are that he’s torn his anterior cruciate ligament.
Let’s hope he has a speedy recovery!
