We were a little surprised when we heard Tom Cruise was officially joining the reboot of The Mummy, the first in Universal’s attempt at a shared monster movie universe.
But with Johnny Depp locked in as the Invisible Man and Angelina Jolie rumored to be interested in the next Frankenstein film, we’re ready for Universal to show us what they can do!
Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long — in archaeological terms anyway — as The Mummy is slated to hit theaters June 9, 2017.

Tom and costar Annabelle Wallis were snapped filming the reboot in Oxford, England on Tuesday night, and though there were no monsters in sight, the actors did look awfully scared…
