And those are some big shoes to film.
Tom Cruise is apparently in talks to star in the film adaptation of Lee Child’s thriller book One Shot. Lee has a 16 book series following the former United States Army Military Police Major Jack Reacher, who finds himself drifting through life, literally. Physically, Jack is written to stand at 6’5, with barely any fat and has an intimidating demeanor.
Doesn’t sound like Cruise to us – or to any of the fans!
In fact, upon hearing the news, fans of the beloved series started to riot (online) and swore if he were cast, they would boycott the movie.
Sounds like producers better start rethinking this casting situation. If the fans of the book won’t come, then there is zero money to be made. Trust us, there aren’t enough fans of Tommy to balance out the difference.
