What’s that we smell? Nostalgia? Jet engine pollution?
A little bit of both, actually! Paramount Pictures dropped a new full-length trailer for Top Gun: Maverick, the hotly-anticipated sequel to the iconic 1986 aviation film, giving fans the biggest peek yet at the fun and drama to come in the not-always-friendly skies.
The trailer sees Tom Cruise’s character Pete “Maverick” Mitchell return to the stratosphere in order to train a new patch of U.S. Navy fighter pilot cadets; including Miles Teller, Glen Powell, and Monica Barbaro.

In addition to some stellar sky sequences, we get a taste of the tragedy that comes with military life, a better look at Maverick’s new love interest played by Jennifer Connelly, and, most importantly, a peek at some shirtless beachside sports action.
