Tom Hiddleston Apologizes For Offending With His 'Inelegantly Expressed' Golden Globes Speech!

Even humanitarians get nervous at the Golden Globes!
On Sunday night, Tom Hiddleston took home the award for Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie for his role in The Night Manager.
But apparently, the British actor could’ve used a night manager of his own to do damage control, because Twitter was NOT feeling his long-winded speech about doing humanitarian work in Sudan! (Christian Slater‘s unimpressed facial reaction didn’t help, either.)

After his name was called, the humble Marvel star told a too-long anecdote about when some of the Doctors Without Borders doing life-saving work in South Sudan told him that they binge-watched the BBC crime drama.
While Hiddleston was trying say how honored he was to provide an escape to those making a real difference in the world, his mellifluous speech caused Twitics to feel his story was merely a self-congratulatory pat on the back — with some even branding him with “White Savior Complex”! Yeesh…
Never one to make waves, the 35-year-old took to Facebook to apologize for the way his “inelegantly expressed” speech came across, admitting he was rather nervous speaking in front of the star studded audience!

Insisting that his only intent was to “salute” the brave men and women working for DWB, the actor swore that his words just “came out wrong.”
What a class act!
