Authorities continue to collect as much evidence as possible from Saturday night’s tragic crash at Canandaigua Motorsports Park that killed Kevin Ward Jr. But some are questioning whether or not Tony Stewart and his team are cooperating fully in the investigation!
As we previously reported, Stewart hit and killed 20-year-old Ward after he stepped out of his vehicle and onto the track. What police now want to know is if this was all an accident or if Stewart was driving recklessly or worse, he intentionally ran down Ward.
But when investigators asked for any video that the NASCAR star had, he and his team claimed they didn’t record ANYTHING!
Insiders say that is highly unusual, as Tony tends to have a mini-camera mounted on his cars whenever he races on smaller dirt tracks, like the one in Canandaigua!
The local sheriff also stated today that there weren’t even any recordings of communication between Stewart and his crew during the race, though we’re told that’s standard for a small event that isn’t being broadcast on television.
Now, police are asking for ANY footage anyone present that night may have of this crash. The video that they do have just isn’t clear enough to prove that Tony Stewart is or isn’t at fault for this.
Seeing as it’s 2014, we gotta imagine someone out there hit record and got this awful incident on tape!
