Tori Kelly is speaking out for the first time publicly since suffering her health crisis.
The Grammy-winning artist may be in the midst of recovering from a “scary” few days of health battles, but she’s still keeping her fans in the back of her mind. Early Thursday morning, the 30-year-old shared a handwritten letter on her Instagram, in which she addressed all the love she’s been getting from fans, and thanked her medical team as she continues to get “stronger.” However, it seems as though she’s not completely on the track to a full recovery just yet, as there are “still some things to uncover.” She began her message:
“Hi friends… As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges. It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers & can’t stop thinking about you. I’m feeling stronger now & hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover. I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors & nurses who have been looking after me.”

Poor Tori! It’s great to hear that she’s feeling “stronger,” but we just wish there were some more clear-cut answers regarding her health. But her “hopeful” mindset will do wonders in aiding in her continued recovery.
Don’t think that her crisis is going to stop her from releasing music, though! The American Idol alum had an EP planned to release Friday, and while the week of promotion may have gotten the kibosh due to her health emergency taking precedence, she’s still planning to move forward with that date to drop Tori. Even more eerie, one of the songs is called Alive If I Die. The timing is terrifying!
She added in her note:
“Of course I’m heartbroken about all the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first. Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years. I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!”
We can’t wait to listen and continue to send healing energy her way.

The Unbreakable Smile singer concluded:
“I love you all so much & I am truly overwhelmed by all of the love & care I have received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
It was Monday that TMZ reported the artist had been rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA after she apparently “passed out” while at dinner with her friends Sunday night. While in the ICU, doctors reportedly discovered “really serious” blood clots around her legs and lungs, and are continuing to search for others.
On Wednesday, Tori’s husband André Murillo shared a brief update on the star’s health on his Instagram Story, noting that she’s “smiling again,” but “not fully out of the woods.”
