Of course it is, but we still like to hear people say it!
While speaking at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in New York City on Saturday, Growing Pains star Tracey Gold told the audience that “there’s nothing wrong with being gay.”
Her comments were in response to Kirk Cameron‘s bigoted beliefs that homosexuality is “unnatural, detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
Tracey told a crowd — which booed at the very mention of the name Kirk — that her former co-star had spoken his mind and added, ├óΓé¼┼ôI want my voice of love and support to be louder. There’s nothing wrong with being gay.├óΓé¼┬¥
Heck yes, gurl! Thank you for standing up for what is RIGHT!
It’s such a shame that someone even needs to say that in the year 2012, but there are still WAY too many close-minded people out there, so every positive message helps.
Who would have ever thought that Carol Seaver would grow up to be the cool one in the family? Ha!
