Travis Kelce has a busy Christmas Day ahead of him, but he’s not down about it at all!
In Wednesday’s New Heights episode, the Kansas City Chiefs player opened up about his holiday plans, which include playing the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in a game that will be streamed on Netflix. While he didn’t mention if his girlfriend Taylor Swift will be in the crowd (she typically doesn’t attend away games), Trav said he wasn’t “going to harp” on having to work on Xmas, insisting he’s “excited” about the chance to take the field. He said:
“I’ll play whenever, wherever. I just know that I’m so fortunate to be able to play this game that I’m gonna cherish every time I get to play on this field.”
Such a good attitude!

The tight end did joke, however, that his body is less excited about the game, which will be one of three he’s played in the last 11 days. Still a good sport, the Catching Kelce alum called it a “challenge” from the NFL which he gladly “accept[s].” The athlete added:
“I think it’s gonna make it feel that much better if we can get out of this little three-game stretch with three wins. Make us feel a little bit more confident that we can get after it against some of the best teams week to week to week.”
All these games are sure keeping him busy, but we’re sure he’ll make time for his girlfriend one way or another. They spent Thanksgiving with both their families, after all, we doubt they’re going to miss celebrating Christmas together. A little travel has never stopped them before!
At the end of the episode, Travis and Jason Kelce teased they have a “very special” guest coming for their January 2nd episode — someone fans have been “demanding” for a while. Could it be Tay Tay?! That would be an AH-mazing way to kick off the New Year!!! We’ll have to wait and see!
