Taylor Swift, you better take notes! Travis Kelce just shared a big wedding red flag!
On Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast, Travis — who some believe has already popped the question to the singer — and his brother Jason had a caller ask them what they thought of a fall wedding. The caller and his girlfriend have talked about tying the knot, but he was worried about having an event that interferes with the football season. The Kansas City Chiefs star hasn’t had to deal with a fall wedding conflict yet, noting:
“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall, because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer.”

He reflected later:
“I’ve seen weddings in f**king February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.”
Even if it was the best time for a wedding, Travis wanted no part in it. He urged the caller and his girlfriend to find a compromise, saying:
“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe.”
Hah!
The tight end went on to point out why a football season ceremony could set the couple up for future trouble, adding:
“Also, if you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I think you guys should duke that out.”
Well, he has a point. LOLz! Jason, on the other hand, thought prioritizing a sport over a wedding was total BS, chiming in:
“Brother, I’m gonna tell you right now. Do the fall and the wedding and avoid this frivolous fight that means absolutely f**king nothing.”
The former Philadelphia Eagles player continued:
“You can watch the football game another [time], like, record it and watch it again. Like, I don’t know what you want me to say. There’s certain things that are more important than football, and if the wedding isn’t more important than football, we got some bigger issues here.”
But Travis fought for his stance, musing:
“Don’t make my friends have to not go. Everybody’s got season tickets. Alright? Don’t make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week.”
But Jason, who is expecting his fourth child with wife Kylie, didn’t see his side:
“There’s a lot more important things than football, and weddings happen to be one of them. And not arguing with your wife is high up there with more important than football. So I would just do the wedding whenever she wants to, because that’s kinda your job now.”
He is the one who has been married since 2018. He must know what he’s talking about!
But if TayTay wants an easy wedding season, it’s definitely not happening in the fall — especially not while the athlete is still in the NFL. The stakes are a lot higher for him in the fall than an average football fan. Listen to Trav’s hot take (below):
