OK, so when we first heard Trey Songz landed his very own dating show on VH1 we were like:
“Damn, how’d we miss the casting call?”
HA!
But now, it turns out the whole thing was one big publicity stunt for his new album, Tremaine the Album!
And VH1 continues to be in on the gag (for some reason) as they’re still promoting clips for the spoof series online — even though everyone knows it is fake!

But then, right after Trey dropped a new song and video for Nobody Else But You AND announced his first studio album in three years — that’s when everyone realized they had been tricked!
The R&B singer confirmed the joke on The Breakfast Club:
