Donald Trump is ruffling religious feathers!
On Sunday night, the 47th President took to conservative social media platform Truth Social to fire off a series of angry posts directed at Pope Leo XIV and AI-generated photos — including one depicting him as Jesus Christ! We’re not joking!

Without context or any caption, Trump shared an AI photo of himself in white-and-red robes holding light in one hand and blessing a hospital patient with his other. Surrounding him are praying Americans, the US flag, bald Eagles, and more… See (below):

That’s certainly… something! It didn’t take long for MAGA to share STRONG reactions to the post. On X (Twitter), former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green wrote:
“On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope because the Pope is rightly against Trump’s war in Iran and then he posted this picture of himself as if he is replacing Jesus. This comes after last week’s post of his evil tirade on Easter and then threatening to kill an entire civilization. I completely denounce this and I’m praying against it!!!”
Brilyn Hollyhand, who served as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee Youth Advisory Council, wrote:
“This is gross blasphemy. Faith is not a prop. You don’t need to portray yourself as a savior when your record should speak for itself.”
Riley Gaines, who is a critic of trans athletes in women’s sports and has appeared at multiple Trump rallies, wrote:
“Does he actually think this? Either way, two things are true. 1) a little humility would serve him well 2) God shall not be mocked.”
Megan Basham, an evangelical Christian journalist, added:
“I don’t know if the President thought he was being funny or if he is under the influence of some substance or what possible explanation he could have for this OUTRAGEOUS blasphemy”
Conservative political commentator and author Michael Knowles wrote:
“I assume someone has already told him, but it behooves the President both spiritually and politically to delete the picture, no matter the intent.”
See more reactions (below):
“I am a solid Trump supporter & fan, but Trump is not Christ and this art is blasphemous.”
“This is so completely wrong!”
“You are not Jesus Christ. This is blasphemy”
“Mocking Jesus now? I can’t believe I voted for this traitor.”
“Actually, God values humility and this is the opposite of that. The blasphemy is real”
“It’s time for this delusional fool to step down from office.”
“The book of Revelations speaks of this, are you literally depicting yourself as a savior or messiah? Just asking, the Book of Revelations tells us the antichrist will tell us he is.”
“Disgusting. Sad… We elected the antichrist”
Sometime on Monday morning, Trump deleted the post amid the wave of backlash… but he’s now trying to talk his way out of the sticky situation in the most UNBELIEVABLE way.
On Monday, the convicted felon claimed he had no idea the image depicted him as Jesus, as he thought he appeared as a “doctor.” He told Fox News:
“I did post it and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do Red Cross … Only the fake news could come up with that one.”
Q: Did you post that picture of yourself depicted as Jesus Christ?
TRUMP: I did post it and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do Red Cross. Only the fake news could come up with that one. pic.twitter.com/z5tPuqSvA7

SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Does anyone actually believe that??
In the image he posted he shows himself literally wearing Jesus’ red shawl and using magical healing powers just like Christ had. How can he honestly expect people to be dumb enough to believe this?
What are YOUR reactions, Perezcious readers??
