Two iconic TV actors have sadly passed away.
Russell Johnson who played the Professor on Gilligan’s Island died at the age of 89 of kidney failure. His wife Candace informed the media, speaking fondly of her husband and his final wishes in a statement, saying:
“He died at home, peaceful, in his sleep at 5:21 am today. [He was] a very brave guy who knew what he wanted, and he wanted to be at home.”
Dave Madden, best known for playing Reuben Kincaid, the mercurial manager of the Partridge Family on the 70s sitcom, has also passed away at the age of 83.
Madden also appeared on the popular sketch-comedy series Laugh-In. He died in Florida where he lived with his wife.
Rest in peace, gentlemen. And thanks for bringing us countless laughs on television!
