Twin Peaks: The Return lost one of their fan favorite actors… And sadly, his family has been left with lots of questions after his death.
Owain Rhys Davies, who you probably know better as FBI Agent Wilson in the series, suddenly passed away. In an announcement his brother Rhodri Davies and his dad Conway Davies made on Instagram over the weekend, they explained the 44-year-old’s death came as a “great shock”:
“It is with profound sadness that my father and I share the news that my brother, Owain, has passed away. This news will come as a great shock to many. While there are still questions that remain unanswered regarding the circumstances of his death, our understanding at this stage is that Owain passed suddenly, naturally, and peacefully.”
So sad… We can’t imagine what his family is going through.
The statement continued, thanking everyone who has reached out so far:
“The reach of Owain’s love, friendship, and generosity was vast. The outpouring of messages we have received over the past few days has been deeply moving and a testament to the impact he had on so many lives.”
Remembering his brother, Rhodri said:
“Owain was fortunate enough to have more than one family. Alongside his biological one, he built extraordinary, family-like bonds with many of his closest friends, colleagues, and loved ones. I am incredibly proud that, while he was my brother, he was also a brother to so many others. We know that this loss will be felt by a great many people, and we take comfort in knowing how loved he was.”

Wrapping up, he touched once again on the mysterious circumstances of Owain’s death, writing:
“We will try and share further information in due course as we learn more and begin making arrangements. In the meantime, we kindly ask for some privacy as we come to terms with this devastating loss and support one another through the days ahead. Thank you for your kindness, your messages, and for keeping Owain in your thoughts.”

One of Owain’s close friends, Supernatural star Ruth Connell, made a post remembering him. She emotionally wrote:
“Can’t write this for crying – I can’t see through my glasses all fogged up. Trying to write this as I have been for days and I can’t imagine when it will be different – the loss to us all who loved him @owainrdavies beyond measure”
She talked about some memories she had with Owain in the post, and even shared she’d just seen him last week:
“This was us last Thursday on a last-minute perfect night out in London with so much to look forward to. Can’t believe he even managed a divinely timed goodbye without us knowing it. So grateful for it as I’m usually an ocean away. But always in touch and just a thought away. We lived together twice and even then never fell out!”

Such a devastating loss. Our hearts go out to all who loved Owain. We hope some clear answers come soon so his loved ones can find peace amid their grief.
