It’s been well over a year since Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi committed suicide after his roommate Dharun Ravi streamed a video of Tyler with another man over the Internet.
For the first time since Tyler’s death, his parents have decided to open about their son.
Here’s what his mother Jane had to say:
“Not a minute goes by that I don├óΓé¼Γäót think about him.”
“It’s especially hard right now because this was his favorite time of year. So we’re trying to find a new way to celebrate Christmas. I’m sad ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and trying to get through it.”
More from Tyler’s father Joe:
“I’ll read a few things until I get choked up ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ then I’ll stop.”
And more from Jane on the ongoing case:
“It wouldn’t be fair to Tyler’s memory to let this slide. Something good has to come out of this terrible situation.”
Thanks for sharing, Clementi family. We continue to send you our thoughts and prayers, and we truly that justice is served in the case against Tyler’s roommate.
Stay strong.
